This package for PY-205 contains all written material available on my page relating to the Social Psychology course. This includes all CARTS, KSGs, notes, and final research related items.

These 20 pages of Social Psychology class notes give an overview of the class. Each chapter and its discussions are in sections. These notes go over a wide range of topics all relating to Social Psychology, such as "Dunbar's Number", and "Schemas".

This Final Research Paper (APA) discusses animals and their possible benefits and importance towards humanity. Sections; Introduction, College Students and The Attachment Theory, Emotional Support Animals and College Students, Animal Assisted Activities (AAA), Animal Assisted Therapy, Children and Animals, Conclusion, and References. Overall, this research paper takes an overall look at how animals can affect us uniquely.

This document discusses the possible benefits of Emotional Support Animals, and being exposed to animals in general. It starts off with a paragraph describing the topic and possible directions that it could be taken. Scrolling down shows a few pages of notes and articles linked for the final project.

This guest lecture was provided by Dr. Phillip T. Dunwoody and talks about his presentation "Understanding Trump and Ethnic-Persecution through Ideology, Social Norms, and Threat Interest". It discusses the nationalism and discrimination rise after the 9/11 terrorism attacks. The professor biggest topic was "Authoritarianism", such as "Ruling with an iron fist" in some ways. Overall, this was an interesting lecture and this summary discusses it in detail.

This is the first CART describing Chapter 2 of "Readings about The Social Animal". In this, it discusses the five "Central Social Motives"; Belonging, Trust/Be Trusted, Understanding, Control, and Need to Matter. When one of these categories are lacking, humans may feel unsatisfied and/or stressed. The CART goes into depth and talks about real-world experiences describing these five motives.

These KSGs go over Chapters 1-9 of "Readings about The Social Animal". In each chapter section, it was asked; One new piece of learning (Know), One part that was fuzzy (Slow), Something you would like to know more about (Grow), and Create a question for class discussion. This contains the responses to all of these questions per chapter.

This CART for Chapter 5 of "Readings about The Social Animal" discusses "Resisting Propaganda and Persuasion". In the first section, it goes over Jack Brehm's "Theory of Resistance", then elaborates on "Moral Emotions". This theory can help explain why some people either do or do not get vaccinated. The way things are communicated is very important, and one should avoid "pushing" too forcefully.

This CART for Chapter 7 of "Readings about The Social Animal" talks about prejudice and shows examples of discrimination. This CART dives deeply into the section "Implicit Bias and Behavior", as the author and I talk about mental fatigue and how it relates to prejudices. It then ends with explaining ways to avoid discrimination when possible.

This CART discusses Chapter 6 of "Readings about The Social Animal". The main focus of this chapter is on "Aggression". Aggression is usually viewed as "violence", but can come in many forms besides just physical. This also touches on "Relative Deprivation", and how consuming violent media can hurt one's mental health.
