These are the answers and examples for mental math strategies including the take-away and distance models, how to add/subtract in different bases using the lattice algorithm, standard algorithm, and partial sums algorithm. I drew pictures for many of the problems to represent my work. I completed this work for the course, Mathematics for Elementary Education I.

These are all my uploaded case briefs I wrote throughout the process of obtaining my associate's degree in paralegal studies. There are four case briefs in this package.

Some portions are answered in cursive handwriting.

This is homework for the course, Mathematics for Elementary Education I. Part of the document is written in cursive, and the book that was used is Mathematics for Elementary and Middle School Teachers by Sybilla Beckmann. In this document, I have written story problems and explained the properties used to solve them including the associative and communitive properties or addition. Different strategies that students often use are shown. I also show adding and subtracting in different bases.

This document includes story problems of different kinds such as: take from, add to, put together, take apart, and compare. I wrote story problems to match the math problems given and drew strip diagrams to correspond.

This is a presentation analyzing a fact pattern and determining whether the facts qualify as domestic abuse. In this presentation, I cite the Iowa Code. The fact pattern is shown on the slides. I created this presentation for the course, Family Law.

This is a legal memorandum for the course, Legal Research and Writing II. The facts are fictional, and the issue is: Whether Good Grocers is liable when Ms. Klutz fell and injured herself by tripping over a cable in the store. Whether Good Grocers would be considered the possessor of land regarding the work site that was abandoned by Best Contractors. Whether, under these facts, Good Grocers exercised a duty of reasonable care to Ms. Klutz. The sources are cited in Bluebook format.

This is an opening statement for a mediation project in which I was mediating between two parties. Due to the nature of the project, I was unaware of the nature of the matter until the mediation began. This is a good general opening statement for most mediations.

This essay was written for the Composition I course. In it, I define the word "woke" and discuss its impact on culture.

This essay summarizes the Holocaust as well as the results following it. I wrote this essay for the course, World Studies. Those who are unfamiliar with the Holocaust or World War II may benefit from this essay.
