Building self-confidence (SFTG)
Think about the state of your self-confidence? In what situation? Confidence is about
body language, intonation… (it should be a daily state of mind)
Book: talks about how his confidence came from his mother, she tells him to not kid
himself, it just is what it is. Every time he tried to delude himself, her words set him
straight. She thought him the need to stand out. (jack became famous because of
his aggressive management style)
Getting out of the pile (SFTG)
Trusting on my gut, following my own ideas. (don’t be like the rest)
Most people want to be guided by somebody else, you need to go your own way.
In your job also, especially when you start your job in a bigger organization, you need
to get out of the pile to be noticed by the supervisors (in a good way)
Up or out: a long time ago they would take 100 candidates with the same degree, if
you wouldn’t make yourself being noticed, they would move you out. (companies like
Deloitte still think like this)
How do you get noticed: going the extra mile, do more than what’s expected, think

Work-life balance is a personal perception. It is important to climb the corporate

wants to get the max out of you and the others.

Being a CEO is nuts, Jack says. The job never leaves you; it is veery absorbing, it
always sticks with you.
