The article I decided to select as my term-long critical analysis project is “Some Lessons Learned from The Assembly Line” By Andrew Braaksma (2005). I believe the author’s purpose is to provide insight on the value of having a college education in contrast to not having one, value of hard work, lessons learned on the difficulties of blue-collar work and his appreciation of attending a university, through his experience while working at a plastic factory

I describe the importance of analyzing the author's article. A closer analysis of the author’s claim would allow readers to learn things that the author might have left out of his writing. Details that would paint a clearer picture by analyzing a little closer would be things such as hourly wages, the length of his breaks throughout the day, what he was studying to become Post College, and his own advice to the reader as he was given advice by his coworkers
