Les limites et la continuité sont des concepts clés en mathématiques, notamment en analyse.
Elles permettent de décrire le comportement d’une fonction lorsque sa variable tend vers une
valeur particulière.


Limites
La limite d’une fonction f en un point x0 est le nombre L tel que, pour tout ε > 0, il existe
un δ > 0 tel que, si 0 < |x − x0 | < δ, alors |f (x) − L| < ε. On note lim f (x) = L.

La limite peut exister même si la fonction n’est pas définie au point x0 . Par exemple, la
limite de la fonction x1 en 0 est +∞.
