IELTS stands for International English language testing system and assesses your
knowledge of the English language.. There are two versions of the test [UNK] , the academic
and the general one. The academic version is for those who want to study abroad in an
English speaking country. The general version is the academic one for those wanting to work
abroad. The test tests your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. English is not my

IELTS: How to calculate your band score

In terms of listening and reading, you can calculate your own band score pretty easily. The
best thing to do is to buy a book with practice tests for IeLts that also provides the answers
and the explanations to the answers. In speaking and writing things are a little bit different.
You ca n't really mark yourself in writing and speaking. students tend to think that come on a
tiny spelling mistake here and there it does n't really matter well. I got news for you. They
consider spelling really really important so please be careful with spelling. Okay in speaking
examiners will consider your fluency, your coherence, your accuracy, the vocabulary you use

IELTS Listening: Basic Info

The listening Ielts is the same for both the academic and the general version of the test, and
it lasts for 30 minutes. In the end, you will be given 10 minutes extra in order for you to
transfer your answers to the separate answer sheet.. The listening section consists of four
sections. Each section is ten questions long and these four sections are of increasing
difficulty which means of course that section 1 is the easiest. What makes the listening is
really challenging is that you get to hear each section only once so there is no second
chance. Ielts listening is the same for both the academic and the general version of the test,
so as the sections increase in difficulty. The two last sections are usually about academic
matters. You should be able to understand both general information and specific information
and some complex ideas, and you have to choose the correct answer among them.. in the
