plural*
● Articles can be definite, (THE pencil), or indefinite, (A pencil)
○ Definite: Le/La/Les
○ Indfinite: Un/Une/Des
Les Pronoms Personnels:
● Pronouns are used to replace a name
● In french: Je, Tu, Il/Elle, Nouns, Vouch, Ils/Elles
Les Adjectifs:
● Describe a noun
● In french, adjectives go *after* the noun
○ Ex: un homme intelligent
● Adjectives need to AGREE w/ the noun
○ Ex: des filles intelligentes
● *EXCEPTION*: BANGS (Beauty, Age, Number, Goodness, Size) adjectives go before!!
Le Comparatif
● To compare nouns, there's a specific structure:
○ [Noun] (est/sont) (plus/moins/aussi) [Adjective] que [Noun]
● If u want to say *is better or is worse than other*:
○ *Meilleur(e)(s) que for better*, and *Pire(s) que for worse*
Le Superlatif
● Sentence structure for a superlative
○ [Noun] (est/sont) (le/la/les) (meilleur(e)(s)/Pire(s))
Les Adjectifs Possessifs
● Adjectives that describe possession are possessive.
○ Ex: my, your, his, her, etc…
● Possessive adj must *agree* with the noun
○ Ex: mon stylo, ma gomme, mes ciseaux
● *Exception*: you should always use MON or MES for plural nouns that begin with a
vowel.
