Fantasy: My book is about dragons and half-dragon-half-human beings. These kind of creatures are
considered fantasy creatures. The story takes place in a fantasy world the writer created as well. You
could, of course, not find these exact landscapes and buildings on the planet we live on. In other
words: the world that is described in the book, doesn’t exist.

Title explanation:

The story is about a girl named Mara. When she was a little kid, she secretly crossed the borders
between her side, and the dragons side of the country. There she found two dragon eggs that she
took home with her. Her parents found out and they ‘got rid of the dragon eggs’. One time, like ten
years later, when Mara went hunting for rabbits, she heard weird sounds coming from a building in
the woods. She felt weirdly attracted to the building so she decided to check it out and went inside.
There she found two dragons, one little weak one and a bigger and slightly healthier one. The little
one missed some of it’s teeth and they both missed some scales. Dragon teeth and scales were worth
a lot of money, so her parents had probably used the dragons for that purpose. Mara felt sorry for
them and wanted to comfort them. But then the cute little one scratched her. She didn’t really mind
seeing it was just a little scratch, little did she know how that scratch would change her life forever…

Because the dragon was wounded, it’s blood meddled with Mara’s. Her parents found out and send
her away for seven days. Mara had to stay with the people who fed and imprison the dragons: the
care takers. If she hadn’t had symptoms after seven days, she would have not been cursed, but she
was. The seventh day she started to feel itchy on her back. She ignored it and went back to her
parents to get checked by healers for signs of the curse. They had found little scales that started to
develop on her back. She then was blamed for keeping the dragons and was banned to the dragon
side of the world together with the dragons.
