Introduction

Anemia stands as a prevalent physiological challenge in women's lives globally. Notably, around 40% of

non-pregnant, fertile women grapple with low iron reserves. It is a common pregnancy symptom, affecting 15%

to 25% of pregnancies (Johnson & Pillitteri, 2007, p. 362). In this context, Janice, a first-time expectant mother

in her seventh month of pregnancy, is confronting the repercussions of iron deficiency.

This dissertation focuses on crafting a balanced, iron-rich dietary plan tailored to Janice's needs. She is

diagnosed with iron-deficiency anemia, necessitating an approach that addresses her unique symptoms and

nutritional requirements, ultimately bolstering her overall well-being. An educational psychologist, Benjamin

Bloom, introduced three key learning domains—cognitive, affective, and psychomotor—which inform this

study's framework. We will explore Janice's unique requirements within each domain to comprehensively

understand her learning process and needs.

Cognitive Domain

The cognitive domain, as articulated by Bloom in 1956, encompasses the acquisition of knowledge and the

cultivation of intellectual skills. This domain involves the retrieval and identification of specific facts,

procedural patterns, and concepts, all of which contribute to the cultivation of intellectual abilities and skills.
