100x. each objective lens is color coded. ocular lens at the other side of the tube
demagnifies the image ten more times. it has a condenser lens below the stage that
focuses the light for brighter image and it has an iris diaphragm that adjusts the light for
proper contrast between the image and the background.

diaphragm.
