Event Recording - Counting the number of times a behaviour occurs.

A tally is made each time the student engages in the target behaviour.

This count is made within a specified time such as 30 minute session.

Interval Recording - used for behaviours that appear continuos.

Break the observation period into short intervals of time. usually 10 seconds to 1 minute.
