Market: A multipurpose cleaner purchased from Dollarama and dollar
tree will cost $2 to $3. If this same product is purchased from Walmart
it will cost more than Dollarama’s price, many multipurpose cleaners
can still be found for less than $5.

Retailers: The first example of a retailer is Walmart, this store is a multinational company. This
store sells items of different categories such as clothing, art supplies, health supplies etc at a low
price. These low prices are the reason people are attracted to shopping at Walmart. Another
example of a retail store is dollarama, this store is similar to Walmart. Dollarama sells items of
different categories such as art supplies, school supplies, personal care items etc. You can find
many items at this store that cost less than $5, this store is one of my favorite places to shop.

E-commerce: Yes, online marketing is a successful channel into the country. The best example to
represent this term would be Amazon. Amazon has headquarters in America, the warehouse has
all sorts of products that they publish online on their website. People can look through the
website, add items to cart, pay the money and have the item delivered to their house address.

Trade shows: Yes, trade does show opportunities in the country. U.S is one of the biggest
importers and exporters of Canada, U.S exports high value agricultural products to Canada.
Canada is the second largest car market in North America that works with the U.S and Mexico.
Most manufacturers that distribute automotives have their headquarters in Canada. Canada
exports $17.7 billion dollars of items around the world (International trade admission, 2022)2.

Media: There are many media advertising sources that exist in Canada. I have seen all sorts of
companies have an account on social media. These companies are always sharing updates, news
and other things on their accounts. Companies are making use of ads on Youtube. I have seen
many ads of different products such as Tim Hortons on Youtube. In hospitals, you can find
brochures of different businesses for you to check the location if you are interested.

Regulations: There are some laws that are placed when it comes to advertising messages in
Canada. Laws of the federal and provincial section do not allow representing a product or service
online for the purpose of misleading people. Advertising to children in Quebec is prohibited, you
are counted as a child if you are under the age of 13 (OSLER, 2023)3. If advertising to people
above the age of 14 certain laws set for different things must be followed. Companies have to
fully test the product for any incorrect claims. If a contest is done there should be no gaming
offenses, companies have to share any possible harm or negative impact. All messages shared on
social media or youtube should not be misleading (OSLER, 2023)4.

Standards: When it comes to labels of products, everything must be written in Canada’s 2 official
languages - English and French. Even Though most people we meet speak English, there may be
some people that speak only French. We must also be careful of the ingredients that we use in our
products, many people are allergic to different things such as nuts. We must remember to outline
possible allergens of products in both English and French.

Shipping: If I have something shipped from Puratalor, US to Canada post Ottawa, the cost is
