General Posterior: spatial: our brain encompasses various representations of Posterior:
space who differ from each other in two ways:
1 impaired in distinguishing left-right
1 Use of spatial info for recognizing objects & guiding movements
(viewer-centred) 2 impaired at mental manipulations (esp. temporo-parietal polysensory
areas (STS) in RH.
2 Level of spatial complexity (manipulation of mental images,
left/right) (role of temporo-parietal polysensory areas, esp. RH)

Anterior: somatosensory
Primary Changes in somatosensory threshold
Secondary Somato-perceptual disturbances
- Astereognosis = not able to give meaning by holding in fist: tactile
perception disappears
- Simultaneous extinction = feel only 1 finger, not 2 at the same
time.

Blind touch = patient thinks they cannot feel but often guess correct spot.

Somatosensory agnosia’s = tactile system is intact, yet they don’t
recognize.
