Computer Configuration
Q1: What are the top two most important computer parts you would need to consider for the
team computers and why?
The two most fundamental computer parts needed for team computers are the CPU (central
processing unit) and the motherboard. You may ask why I considered these two components of a
PC as most important, and I will gladly express my thoughts and reasonings. Firstly, the central
processing unit (CPU), also known as the computer’s processor, is essentially the mind of your
computer and is responsible for supervising the processing of commands/instructions sent it to
by other software programs. The computer’s processor stores information, directions, and results.
Furthermore, the motherboard of your computer also referred to as the system board is the
principal circuit board on a computer. All of the fundamental parts of a computer and other
electrical links go through the motherboard. It also speeds up the rate at which information is
processed. Ultimately, it connects the sound and video cards, memory, and the processor unit.
These two parts are most important in terms of team computers because without the CPU, the pc
has no function. It’s essentially saying humans walk around without brains. Moreover, the
motherboard links all these team computers to function together and make the computers
compatible.
Q2: For these computer parts that you identified in the previous question, what general
specification would you recommend and why?
