 Voluntary patient- will adhere to treatment plan and follow plan or care

 A question about like always face the patient when providing cares to an

aggressive patient.

 Lots of questions on therapeutic communication, I thought they were fairly easy.

Stuff like asking opened questions, telling the patient that they are safe

 There was a question about like a patient wants to eat food in his room but is isn’t

allowed and I set to set limits. I think other answers were like let him eat, ignore

him, etc.

 Question about loose associations- talks about like march, march is small march

Is girl, something like that

 Question about the characteristic of schizophrenia-something being suicidal

 LOTS of questions on defense mechanism denial, projection, regression, and

rationalization. Make sure you know the definitions to those. I didn’t study that

shit at all and guessed on all those questions

 Question about what delusions of grandeur are

 There was a question about like what is characteristic of mania I think I picked

verbosity

 There was a few about lithium like stuff I didn’t know how to answer at all

o I saw something about like blurred vison, ringing in ears

o You guys should google and see if weight gain and a slight hand tremor is

a side effect of it. I forgot what the question was but I picked if the patient

gains weight and has a hand tremor that the medication should be

discontinued

, o There was a question like about teach back or education about taking

lithium and I think I said like monitor blood levels, ugh sorry I can’t

remember the rest

 Obsessions are repetitive thoughts, whereas compulsions are ritualistic
behaviors.
 Dissociative Identity Disorder – Two or more fully developed, distinct, and
unique personalities exist within the client.
 There was a question about a patient who has type 2 diabetes and she has major

depression, and it’s like what complication is most likely to arise, and the options

were like hypoglycemic events, sleeping instead of checking blood glucose. I

think I picked the sleeping one

 Lots on schizophrenia

 Dissociative Amnesia - The client blocks out all memories about a specified

period.

 A few on PTSD and ASD. Like the difference

 A few on bulimia and anorexia

 A question about characteristic of anorexia and I said cessation of menses

 Something about like what do with a bulimia patient, and I said follow patient if

they take trips to bathroom after eating

 · Dependent personality disorder - inability to make decisions

 · Antisocial personality disorder– abusive, no sense of remorse, no empathy.

 There was a question like about an antisocial personality disorder person burps

loudly and then a nurse makes a comment about like being repulsive and the

question was like what does the antisocial person do and how does he react and I

said he would get defensive I think. The rest were like patient will be remorseful,

embarrassed
