Unit 12: Internet marketing in Business Akalia Danalee Newland

P5- Explain how Internet marketing has made a selected
business more efficient, effective and successful.

In this assignment i will be explaining how internet marketing
has provided assistance to help build on both the efficiency,
success and effectiveness of Sainsbury’s. Since Sainsbury’s
have incorporated internet marketing into their business they
have drastically improved on how they operate their business.

Efficient (working faster, with less costs)

For example with efficiency being the comparison of what is
actually produced as well as achieved while having the same
consumption of useful resources such as money , time etc.
Sainsbury's has been efficient by using their website to
promote as well as to market their organisation while, also
incorporating other social media websites such as YouTube,
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other advertisement
platforms under different websites. This is efficient due to the
fact that it cuts down on personal time that is used by
Sainsbury to promote themselves which would then cut down
on unnecessary expenses that could be use it to improve
Sainsbury’s products services and brand overall.

Adding to this, Sainsbury’s efficiency has seen growth during
the time that they have incorporated internet marketing as
they now are able to reach a wider audience within a short
amount of time. Now with the use of direct marketing
Sainsbury’s can also email poster and leaflets to consumers
that have subscribed to be sent appropriate information
regarding deals and etc directly into their personal email
account. Furthermore with the use of efficiency Sainsbury’s has
now increased profit, giving the reason that when a customer
receives a deal they may be more tempted to purchase that
item, good or service due to the fact that there is a sale and
it’s limited edition which would increase in the consumers
purchasing decision. Especially if it’s under a good discount,
also with it being a discount that was offered and sent through
by email to customers this makes even more convenient for
consumers to purchase their products or services online.
