Reality is simply an interpretation of facts that already exists in our surroundings and is
absorbed by our sense receptors (Nigro et al., 2015). This means that whatever we experience
as real, or as merely existing, becomes our reality (Butler & McManus, 2014). Because our
perception of reality is confined, our ability to perceive surrounding must be restricted as well
(Butler & McManus, 2014). John Locke is known for developing the Representative Theory
of Perception about the external world. The way perceptual information is organised, evaluated,
and consciously experienced is referred to as perception. Perceptions such as vision, touch, and
smell tend to be instinctively basic; straight and quick connection to a mind-independent world.
