for an Administrator to start ASAP!

This is a full-time role.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

 Be responsible for monitoring patients who DNA surgery. Inform the relevant secretary and remove from the
waiting list.
 To be responsible for ensuring that all changes of appointments are dealt with in a timely fashion and all
systems updated.
 Liaise with clinical staff and clerical staff about patient admission to hospital and bed state information.
 Deal with enquiries from patients, relatives and staff received by telephone, by post and email in accordance
with the Trust’s Confidentiality Protocol, relaying messages to the appropriate personnel.
 Organize interpreters as required.
 To be aware of the waiting list waiting times and to book patients chronologically and where possible with their
18-week pathway.
 Highlight to the supervisor and/or Admissions Manager any potential issues in the booking of lists within
performance targets.
 Liaise with all departments necessary to ensure patient are dated in a timely manner. Validate patients on the
PTL regularly in line with the trust’s policies.
 Maintain patient identifiable details on the Patient Administration System (PAS) ensuring details are correct.
Enter information about patient movement in the hospital ensuring accuracy of ward bed state information.
 Review case notes and necessary documentation for all elective admissions. Enter admission details of
patient on to PAS, checking allocated dates fit with appropriate theatre list and performance targets.
 Be responsible for the recording of and sending letters to all elective admissions and to deal with responses
appropriately.
 Answer admission queries and solving problems with patient details and transactions on PAS and Theatre
man.
 Update Theatre man with appropriate admission episode, including relevant POA feedback. Ensure CCG
prior approval forms are completed correctly and ensure that any amendments are carried out prior to
processing in order to minimize rejection.
