In this assignment I’ll be discussing the main physical and technological
resources used by McDonalds as well as their use. Then I’ll be explaining how
good management of their human, physical and technical resources can benefit
them. Afterwards I’ll identify and explain each source of finance and I’ll also
assess its suitability to my business which is McDonalds. Additionally I will then
give the limitation and benefits of each source of finance, followed by a report
that will assess the methods of managing resources.
Physical Resources: They are the resources made by a human through his
abilities and skill. The technology, buildings, and many more products that are
made by man are an example of physical resources.

Physical Resources Use of each resource
Frying Machine This is very important for McDonalds as
this helps them to cook their food and
provide customers with finished
products. It helps to fry chips, burgers
etc. which assists in providing
customers with fast and fresh food.
Fridge or Freezers This is also really important for the
business as it can store many products,
which otherwise may lose its freshness
or even get rotten. As the products can
be stored, McDonalds don’t really need
to wait for the supplier for their
delivery. The products are also cheaper
as they can buy in bulk as they have
the facility to store.
Till Till is used to sum up the total and
helps the cashier to provide the right
amount of change to the customers. It
also helps to keep the record for the
sales and items sold.
Table and Chairs To provide good customer service, this
is important as otherwise the
customers won’t have anything to dine
in on.
Vehicles Vehicles are used in many ways; it’s
used to transport good from one place
to another. In some McDonalds vehicles
are used to deliver products to
customers place (home delivery).
Computers Computer is used to control the stock
which helps to identify the products
which are running out as it counts the
inventory. It alerts the user when
something is getting out of stock and
the manager then analyses it and re-
order if necessary.
