Project plan-

Introduction-
I have been asked to write a computer game. And the game should be performer and it
should involve navigating a character through an and it will collect items and should avoid
the hazards. When I collect the items it should add to my score and it should only have
limited lives. They also mentioned that it should be timed. I should create different levels
such as starting with easy and it should get hard in every level. Furthermore the game
should be more exciting and fun to play.

Audience-
The game I will be creating will appeal to children aged around 8-12 years.

Client requirements-
● The game should be exciting and fun to play
● Appealing to age group 8-12 years
● It must be a platformer game
● The game should have limited lives
● There should be a character and hazard
● The character should avoid the hazard
● The character should collect items
● There should be different levels starting from easy to hard

Legal and ethical issues-
When creating my game I took into consideration a range of different legal considerations I
considered the need for copyright because I will be using audio that are not mine, I made
sure I was allowed to use the audio I pickled for my game the only purpose for the audio is
for the game that I have created in order to meet the client requirements and make the game
more engaging. Copyright is a big part to consider because if I was breaching the copyright
law then this would not be a good thing and potentially I could get fined. Furthermore, In
order to create the game I used my own assets. Firstly I looked on the internet then I tried to
create my own.

,Finally, I have taken into consideration Data Protection such as it didn't ask any player for
any personal details such as the name, card number etc.

How the game will work
My game will have one character The chicken (Marry) dropped her eggs from the basket on
a busy road. Now she’s going back and collecting them but there is a problem: there are too
many cars and she's going to avoid them and collect her eggs. The player will control the
chicken with the arrow keys on their keyboard, and collect eggs while avoiding the cars. In
order to avoid the cars the chicken can jump, go left or right. The player will have 3 lives.
Each time she gets hit by a car the live will decrease once she gets hit by car 3 times the
game will end and it will say YOU LOST. On the other hand if she didn’t get hit by the cars 3
times and reach the end it will say YOU WON.

Hardware and software requirements-
Software-
Software that I will be using to make the asset is Adobe illustrator and in order to develop the
game I will use GDevelop. I used GDevelop rather than a more professional game engine
such as Unity or Unreal Engine because GDevelop is user friendly, furthermore, it's faster
and lightweight. GDevelop uses Java script which is easy to learn.

Firstly I need a PC to run this software.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
Adobe Requirements-
Processor- Multicore Intel processor (with 64-bit support)
Operating System- Windows 11
Windows Server versions V1607 (2017) and V1809 (2019).
RAM- 8 GB (16 GB recommended)
Hard disk~3 GB of available space (SSD recommended)
Monitor resolution 1024 x 768 display (1920 x 1080 recommended)
GPU- Optional GPU Performance: 1 GB of VRAM (4 GB recommended)
The computer must support OpenGL version 4.0 or greater.

I have used Adobe illustrator to make my characters. I have used it because it's a fantastic
tool for creating character design, it has basic tools and technique. For a stand piece of
work, professionally I would use this software. Other software I could've used such as
photoshop but I didn't use it because illustrator is a better choice. It's best for creating
images. It has a range of different tools that will allow me to create the assets successfully.
On the other hand Photoshop is better for editing, modifying and adjusting image elements
where adobe illustrator is best for creating images such as vector based graphics.

Hardware-
GEFORCE RTX 20 SERIES is a graphics processing unit

, NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 20 series graphics cards and laptops feature dedicated ray tracing
and AI cores to bring you powerful performance and cutting-edge features. This hardware
will be capable of running the software GDEvelop as it is a powerful Geforce model.

GDevelop system requirements-
CPU: 64 bit compatible CPU
RAM: 1GB RAM
GPU: WebGL compatible graphics
OS: 64bit operating system, more recent the better

Other kinds of hardware could be useful in a project like this such as monitor, controller and
graphics tablet to create the assets.
