Authoritarian Leadership (Dictator)
Authoritarian leadership refers to any situation
where a leader keeps hold of as much power and
authority as possible. Also known as coercive or
dictatorial leadership. Authoritarian leaders
tend to keep all decision-making authority to
themselves and make the decisions about the
policies, procedures, tasks, structures,
rewards, and punishments themselves. The
intention behind most Authoritarian leaders is
to retain control and they usually require
unquestioning obedience and compliance. Recent
examples of leaders who use this style include
Kim Jon Um, Vladmir Putin, Adolf Hitler. These
leaders are the most common and well know
examples of authoritarian leaders.

Democratic leadership, also known as
participative leadership or shared leadership,
is a leadership style in which members of a
group participate in the decision-making
process. This type of leadership can apply to
any organization, from private businesses to
schools to the government. With a democratic
leadership style, everyone is given the
