Honour Crime Paragraph-
Honour crime is punishment to people who bring shame upon their
families in certain cultures. Types of honour crimes are murder, torture,
forced marriage, abduction, acid attacks, beatings and female genital
mutilation. The typical offender of honour crimes are males in the family.
The typical victim of honour crimes are usually females in the family
mainly in Asian communities. However, it is becoming more possible for
men to be victims of honour crime for example gay men, as being gay is
seen as shameful. The level of public awareness for honour crime is low
as people in certain cultures may see this as normal and may not report
it. Honour crime is criminal as the punishments are often illegal however
it may not be deviant because it may be seen as normal in that certain
culture.
