Moral crime paragraph
A moral crime is something that may offend or break the values or ‘codes
of conduct’ of a society. Moral crimes are often perceived as victimless.
Some examples of moral crimes are assisted suicide, bigamy,
pornography and illegal drug use. The types of offenders of moral crimes
are usually vulnerable people, people with mental health problems and
people with addictions. The typical victims of moral crimes are often the
offender, or possible family and friends of the offender. The level of
public awareness of Moral crimes are very low as its not very reported on
and because often there are no victims of the crime. A real-life example
of Moral crime is Kennedy. He bought heroin from a drug dealer and
took it, he overdosed and died. Some Moral crimes are just deviant
however illegal drug use would be criminal and deviance as drugs are
illegal.
