COMPARING THE DIFFERENT TYPER OF LEADERSHIP STYLE!!

All leadership’s style is used in different types of jobs to get the better
outcome.

In a situation where a decision needs to be made quickly and
effectively without individuals complaining or wanting to change the
plan such as in the army you get suddenly attack by a group of
taliban's and need orders to be put out quickly, the leadership styles
that should be used are authoritarian and task orientated as they are
very direct with little input by the members in the group. A
leadership style that wouldn’t be appropriate for this certain
situation would be laissez-faire as the leader takes a step back and
allows the group to take control which isn't effective as this is a very
different style compared to authoritarian etc.

A situation where the team members communicate to the leader
about their ideas and feelings to get an end result could be used in
the army. The army could use this kind of leadership style when
planning missions. This is because the leader can’t make a plan all by
himself, as it may not be good enough and may end badly. The leader
will listen to everyone in the group and write down all the ideas give
then out them all together to make a better plan. This is a good style
for this situation as every member’s idea is listened to which
encourages everyone to get involved. If you used laissez-faire for this
situation it wouldn't really work as good as using democratic as the
leader has less responsibility and the team may not do the job
correctly.

When rules are meant to be followed to make the job easier and
faster the leadership style you would use would be bureaucratic and
Transactional. These leadership styles are very effective when they
are done correctively. A situation where you would use these two
