P2:Explain the potential effects of five different life factors on the development of an
individual
P3: Explain the influences of two predictable and two unpredictable major life events
on the development of the individual
In this assignment I will be talking about the different factors and how they relate to
my celebrity Whitney Houston.
Genetic & Biological Factors
Genetic factors is what we inherit from our parents, it is a set of instruction for our
growth and development of every cell in our body which would be decided at the
moment of conception (Choices, 2016). When talking about Biological factors it’s
about the effects of what the mother would do while the baby is in the womb on
example of this would be in a mother was to drink alcohol while she was pregnant it
could lead to FAS (foetal alcohol syndrome). In relation of Whitney Houston She had
Traits of heart disease to be specific coronary disease, this is a waxy substance called
plaque that builds up in the coronary arteries but could be also known as
atherosclerosis it is when you arteries could be narrow that there unable to deliver
oxygen-rich blood into your heart (Coronary heart disease, 2016) this development
of heart disease would have affect Whitney Houston in a variety of ways which would
affect her. When talking about her physical development Whitney would start to
develop symptoms such as shortness of breath this is because if your heart is unable
to pump enough blood that your body need then you will have shortness of breath
also she might develop chest pains, like tightness or some pressure within her chest
this is knowns as angina and this could normally occur on the middle and left side of
the chest but is triggered by physical and emotional stress. This would be bad for
Whitney physical development as it might lead her to lose a dramatic amount of
weight to this but this could also lead to one of the biggest killers around the world
which is a heart attack (Clinic, 2015). In relation to her intellectual development
Whitney Houston’s would have slowed down or come to a halt this is because when
finding out she has traits of Coronary heart disease it could have caused her to be
stressed and she wouldn’t be able to process information as efficiently as she would
when she is in a stable state meaning all the wisdom she might have gained over the
years are non-existent. About her social development Whitney Houston may have
carved into her own word and wouldn’t have associated with many people for
example her husband she would have used going on tour a lot a way of getting away
from him which could have lead their marriage into a bad state because of this her
emotional development Whitney would have felt afraid and unsure about her feeling
towards the future, she could also be scared because she don’t know what more could
lie ahead as she could feel like she has less control over her life. This could take over
her life as there would be some degree of fear or overwhelming stress stopping her
from getting better as a lot of question go unanswered (Heart.org, 2016).
