All these processes helped lead to Virgin success, as it means they can select
the top tier and most knowledge candidates for the job.
The strengths of Virgin's recruitment process are that it gives you many options
and opportunities as they have multiple ways to have interviews, which
personally is outstanding because it means you have a wide range of jobs to
apply to and if you do not get the one you want, they will always find one that
suits you best. This is a huge strength as more people have the opportunity, it
means they can have more highly trained and dedicated staff. Therefore, it
leads to more productivity as there are more staff and more staff means more
profits as staff are working.
Weaknesses with the recruitment process
However, there are weaknesses in the recruitment process such as most of
them are online, which are for the staff that have the less high ranked jobs and
this could be a big weakness as most people may not have good access to the
internet or may not have up to date technology. This means the jobs with the
higher demand may be hard to access for some. Therefore, this can impact a
business very highly, as if they have a shortage of staff and need to recruit it
may mean that some of the knowledgeable candidates may not have the
opportunity as the internet affects their way of it, which also leads to staff
satisfaction may go down as people will need to fill in at places, they do not
usually do.
