Team building
Once the business deciding to run a successful business in the future then the teamwork will
be one their main goals for them to be consider as its one the key feature for an
organisation to success. During building a new business, it is essential for business to study
team building. Having a supportive environment will help to make an efective teamwork.
The team leaders and managers are Important in establishing an integrated and efectives
teamwork. However, once you looking to build a team you have to considers the team
members, as they must have complementary skills same as Belbin outlined.
By recruiting the best team members with the skills needs will be the frst start of building a
team, then they have to be trained and mentoring these members in order to build the high
performance team.
Recruitment
One of the main responsibilities in managing and directing individuals within the work is
dealing with the new workers in the business and try to keep the people who already have
been there. Group directors and manages have important duty for supervise the integrated
activities that is involves in creating a team.
When the business deciding to recruit a new employees they have to consider the skills and
competence required for the new team members. As this can work as a job analysis,
because you can identify all the skills and qualifcation a person need to be one of the new
team member.
Inductin and training
The induction program is a progression of exercises intended to introduce the new staf to
the business, its members and the working environment including the business activities.
Having an induction is a great program that aim to retain staf and keep them for long time
in the business. The induction period is very important for building a team as it look like an
opportunity to help building teams. This induction have to include:
A clear description of the business such as the toilets etc.
A clear description of the role /requirement for the new employees
Health and safety information
The business’ history information and also the products and service they do.
Introduce how the new employees will ft in the team.
In term of training, there is two main method to train the new employees to work as a
team: experiential leaning and counselling. Experiential learning is when a real task to the
new employee in order to understand how the work (also the simulated tasks is used in this
method).this may include data research. During the experiential learning, you may carry out
