When is the safety check required? - answer "APU" - Accepting, powered down,

Who conducts the safety check flow? - answer Either pilot. Generally whoever
arrives at the aircraft first.

After battery master turned on, what must be checked? - answer Standby lights

Warn indications on FIREX test? - answer 3535 - 3 aurals, 5 lights (Master warning
x2, l/r engine and APU fire), 3 push to discharge and 5 EICAS warnings.
FAIL indications on FIREX test? - answer 152 - 1 aural chime, 5 EICAS cautions and
2 master caution lights.
,ENG 1/2 and APU test proper indications? - answer ENG1 Squib 1/2, ENG 2 Squib

What is the procedure for establishing AC power? - answer Once avail, will be
selected, then we will go to the AC/DC synoptic pages to ensure required indications
APU procedure on the ground? - answer Gen off, ISOL and LCV off, PWR/FUEL
switch: looking for APU in bite, APU SOV open, door open and gauges. Select APU
start stop. Once avail, turn on GEN, elec synoptic to ensure indications and wait 2
minutes to use packs. Will select LCV and ISOL, packs ON.
Why is 3A energized during the safety check? Whose task? - answer To pressurize
the system to open the nose gear doors. Captain task.
What is required before turning 3A on? - answer Ensure that the area is clear.
Airworthiness Acceptance vs Mx Status? - answer Airworthiness cross references
the MEL/CDL against the status on fliteview. We also will look up applicable MELs. Mx
status is to ensure it is safe to bring power to the aircraft.
During originating flow, why is the clock important to check? - answer The
FMS/avionics suite works off the clock time. It could produce errors if not set properly.
When conducting check, what is "panel prep?" - answer CA/FO ensure that aircraft
systems are operational and flow items are complete
Warnings and cautions when using low pressure external air? - answer Ensure that
the packs aren't operational, ensure that the main cabin door stay open, otherwise
inadvertent pressurization is possible.
APU and low pressure air are operational. What selection should the packs be in? -
answer OFF. Must not be operated simultaneously.
What is the priority of sources for AC? - answer Low pressure external, APU and
High Pressure external.
Procedure for high pressure external for AC? - answer Notify ground handlers,
establish the source, open ISOL valve, and turn on packs. Consult SOPM Ch.4 for
specific procedure
When is the PIC allowed to perform a bird strike check? - answer When the aircraft
has landed and mx is not readily available to do the inspection. This is performed from
ground level. If special tool or viewing device is required, call MX.
, After bird strike, when is PIC required to contact mx? - answer Anytime. If
unavailable, captain may perform check at direction of MX, but has to be done from
ground level.
At what temp must AC be avail to avoid display shutdown? - answer 30 celcius
Why is DC power only, limited to 5min? - answer Overheat possibility. The displays
