In my textbook and everywhere else I have read the colloid contains thyroglobulin which I understand splits into T3 and T4 when it binds with iodine, but my professor's notes on the board it says that the follicular cells of the thyroid contain thyroglobulin and the colloid contains T3 and T4... isn’t that backwards? Because I thought T3 and T4 are made and synthesized in the colloid and THEN secreted out by the follicular cells... does that make sense? Can you please explain this and ...
