Introduction
My name is....... during my investigation about my potential career prospects, I've decided
to look into the possibility of becoming an event organizer because I believe I'd be a good fit
for the position. There is a growing demand for event management jobs, which include
everything from large-scale festivals to small-scale product launches. In order to learn more
about the position, I plan to conduct an interview with someone who has previously
organised an event and record the conversation in a transcript form. I plan to conduct two
skill audits, one for an event organiser and one for myself, as part of my research. In
addition, I plan to conduct a self-assessment of my abilities to identify potential growth
areas and determine how to get there. In the conclusion of my report, I will explain how my
talents match those of an event manager.
P1: The role and skills required to be an effective events planner
Venue:
Choosing a venue is a vital part of planning a successful event. As a result, the overall event
will be significantly influenced by atmosphere. if the venue is dirty or unappealing it could
impact from the event's overall appearance. An event organiser should look for a venue that
already meets the standards needed to make a good impression rather than spend money
on making the venue look fancy. Organizers must match the type of event they are hosting
with the appropriate venue. There is a wide variety of indoor and outdoor event locations to
choose from.
An event organiser may opt to have an awarding celebration indoors at a hotel or a hall, for
example, since at an award ceremony many speeches may be given, and it would be
beneficial to organise the event somewhere where there would be less disturbance from
vehicles and the public. In addition to establishing the mood for the type of event that will
take place, the size may also impact whether or not people wish to attend. In addition, it will
make it easier to calculate the total price tag. Larger venues in comparison to smaller
venues may demand additional costs that must be paid upfront.
The event's success will be heavily influenced by the venue's size. With more space and
amenities, larger venues can accommodate a greater number of people than smaller ones.
On the other side, smaller venues may benefit from reduced attendance by providing a
more relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
