The way neurons transmit isn’t like an electric signal. The charge inside of a neuron
is more negative than the outside of the neuron
Resting state: the near all signal is off, the neuron is not doing anything
Resting state→one Na+ Enters (-70mV)—>second Na+enters (-70mV), third
Na+ enters (+40mV)—>potassium comes in and brings the neuron back to
resting stage
Neuron signal works like crowd wave, the hands rise up and when it’s tired it goes
down, and excites the next person (neuron) in turn to start (rising their hand up and
down), then next person up and down…

How do we get Na+ Or CI- into the dendtrite: using neurotransmitters!!
-synapse: the space between the axon and dendrite where neuron tramitters
appear
-gates: the gate opens and closes for neurpn transmitters to enter the dendrite
-vesicles: sacs filled with neurotransmitters
-active potential: stimulates vesicles so they go to the synapse and binds to the
gates
Leftover neurotransmiter-: some float away and are broken down, some stay,
some..
reuptake: neurons are sucked back in
Excitatory neurotransmitter: increase positive charge: ex: dopamine,
norepinephrine, glutamate, acetylcholine.
Inhibitory neurotransmitter: decrease positive charge: GABA, endorphins
