Saiful Islam Assignment 1: The body’s response to acute exercise 27/01/29

P1, P2 & M1:

Musculoskeletal Response:

The musculoskeletal system is made up of several characteristics that make up the body
including bones, muscles, ligaments and more. These types of characteristics help the body
to function and also helps with movements. All pieces of the system are powered by the
nervous system which controls everything as impulses are sent. However this is voluntary
movement so if we were playing football, we would have kicked the ball. The body works
through several muscle contractions which are controlled by the nervous system. The
skeletal system supplies form for the body but the muscular system enables movement,
makes everything much easier and also helps with our form. The organisms in our body
require energy and we can receive that through muscle contraction which all benefits our
movement. We can make energy in many ways but it depends on the activity we are
participating in and the level of the activity.

Increase Blood Supply:

The training we do has an effect on the muscles and also causes an increase in temperature
and metabolic activity. This depends on how and what we train which causes the muscles to
create and give out energy so that movement can take place. When this increase takes
place the need for oxygen is also getting higher. At this rate the heart will then strike harder
and quicker to help with cardiac output. Alot of blood will be pumping through the cardiac
output and the main role is to help keep blood pressure.

For example; if we were running our body would need to produce a decent amount of energy
in a short time as in the run we would require extra bursts for maybe to run faster or finish a
certain length. In this situation blood supply has multiplied due to the fact our muscles need
more energy during the workout. The increased blood supply will give out larger amounts of
oxygen as the heart rate increases and also transports blood quicker.

Increase in muscle pliability:

Muscle pliability is known as wanting better movement. Another word for pliability is
flexibility. Our muscles become more useful when they are warm. This is due to the fact they
become less stiff and also helps us from not getting injured. Our muscles can get warm from
short runs or even stretches. If we didn't do these types of activities our muscles would stay
inflexible and we would be at more risk.
