Large Supermarket (PLC)

Owner- Runs and manages a business, they have permission, rights and can make any decision for
the business. There are types of owners such as sole traders and partnerships.

The numbers of owners and roles they carry out changes according to the size of the business and
how many people are there. By being an owner will interest you as you take full responsibilities and
leadership and more money compared to the workers. Other interests the owner will have in the
business is that it will be run by a person they decide and will run successfully making revenue and
profits, whilst they sit back. Their interest is for recruiting the right people who will be able to
manage his/her business and allow it to become successful.

Employees- Employees are employed by the owner or higher member of staff that are needed to
work and complete roles within their job. Any business needs staff/ employees to carry out duties
and roles in order for business to flow. Depending on their job wages will depend on skills,
qualification, and age.

An employee will be interested in this organisation as he/she will be looking for a placement to
work, get money. Therefore, the only reason why an employee will be interested in an organisation
is because they like the type of job and activities an also, so they have somewhere to work and get
paid. They also have interests such as working for a long period of time which should allow them the
chance to promote to higher status which means increase for their wages.

Customers-Customers are the consumers members of the community that purchase the goods and
services made by the firm. They are individuals or other business

Customers will be interested in the organisation as they are the income without customers business
can’t run if there’s no money coming in. customers will be interested as they will want to purchase
from the business. Customers are only interested in business as it allows them to purchase stock and
resources or receive services that they will have to pay, it also interests them that this business can
also offer jobs and help nearby communities ect

Government- Are the authority, they have laws written which business must abide to and follow.
They have rights over buildings, tax ect.

Governments are only interested in organisations as they are able to charge business cooperation
tax from businesses and organisation which mean they claim some of the percentage that the
business and organisation have made and then therefore use what the governments needs to such
as education or medical. They also are interested as they organisation need their permission to start
a business in areas and government will allow the business to be built in the area as it will create
wealth and employment. This means the government can take money and solve problems of
unemployment. Government will also try to make communities look appealing an attractive which
will attract more people to live there where they can therefore tax. And they also will allow people
to open businesses which then means the government will be able to tax the business

Local Community-The local community often provides most of the customers that go to the
organisation or business that has opened nearby or even provide the staff that are working there.

, They either want to be part of decision making that the business or organisation will make, and they
will listen to the customers to suit and keep them happy. Or they can be part of the organisation
meaning thy can be a staff that works there. What will interest them in for the business is that they
will want for businesses that around their local community to be not disturbing them eg times of
delivery should not be too late in night or school time rush. They also will want their business to be
clean and not litter around.

Pressure Groups- A pressure group can be defined as an organized group that does not run for
election applicants but seeks to affect public policy or law. You can also describe them as ' interest
organisations '

Stakeholders may have an impact on the company. Pressure groups are organisations that are set up
to attempt to impact what we believe of the company and its environment. By writing letters to
MPs, a pressure group can challenge and even alter a business ' behaviour. They have interests in
the business as they want to encourage business and enforce their ideas and policy which will
benefit them and the community, as by doing this this will slowly make all business follow same
steps to be the best one available.

Suppliers- Suppliers supply product to businesses who usually buy in bulk and then resell. Firms and
organisations need to produce goods and service they do this by getting their stock or good from
supplier to therefore sell. Business should have good relationship with their suppliers to get good
quality at reasonable prices

Suppliers will be interested in this organisation as it’s a large supermarket, suppliers will believe if
they supply for them this means it will be regular income for such a large business. So, its two-way
process as suppliers depend on the firm/organisation to pay and order for them and
firms/organisations depend on the supplier to supply their goods for reasonable prices but good
quality as they are going to keep shopping and giving them money. They are also interested in
providing for their customer which are businesses as this will be a way of almost advertising product,
so other businesses will know of their product and will may want to purchase supplies from them
also, so this is, and additional business being made for suppliers.

Local Charity

Trustees- They are the people who have responsibility regarding the charity, they are reliable and
responsible and decide ideas and strategies in the management

Trustees will be interested in charity as its their legal duty to serve and manage their local charity.
They must not put themselves in any position where they conflict with anyone. They are also
interested as they have an individual personal responsibility, to solve and by helping the
organisation and securing the survival. Trustees wouldn’t want to allow their charity to fail and they
take their assets, they are interested as they want to help and most do not get paid, they do this for
the charity.

Volunteers- they are an internal stakeholder who are committed to serve the charity to help but are
not paid for their work as they help of their will.

For a multitude of reasons, people choose to volunteer. It provides the opportunity to give the
community something back or make a difference to the individuals around them. It offers a chance
for others to create fresh abilities or build on current understanding and experience. It also allows
