Computer science is a modern discipline on which the future of society relies on.
My interest in Computer Science began when I first started playing chess, as I saw that
computers are able to compete with the human brain, and sometimes even to surpass the
potential of human intelligence, which planted the first seeds of passion towards this
discipline. As a world-class chess player, a second runner up in the World Youth Chess
Championship under 18, I noticed one common thing about chess and computing, that is,
that both chess and computing are about connecting logical patterns and discovering the
mysteries that have never existed before. Like in chess, you move forward and face a
sequence of challenges, which help you to innovate and create things that can possibly
challenge human superiority.
After completing an Engineering and Science international foundation course at
INTO MANCHESTER, I acknowledged that I am passionate about physics, chemistry
and mathematics, which are essential subjects for my further studies, and are strongly
linked to computing and computer science. Mathematics is believed to be the base of
computer science; calculations, statistics analysis, mathematical models, algorithms,
differential equations, process data analysis, and a myriad of other mathematical
functions allow us to understand the programming language, a language that requires a
high degree of expertise, who I wish to become someday. My excellent knowledge in
chemistry and physics serves as a perfect knowledge baggage on my academic path, as
from my perspective these subjects play an integral role in understanding programming
practice, computer systems, data structures, elementary logic and foundations of
computing.
Besides my studies, I enjoy taking courses at TUMO center for creative
technologies, located in Yerevan. This is a life-changing experience for me, as I consider
my training at TUMO to be a unique opportunity for each individual to grow
professionally and gain knowledge in technology and design. I found it so fascinating to
learn animation, game development and filmmaking. Also, I had a chance to get
