M1- Analyse how local retail businesses are structured satisfying
differing customer needs.
The most common type of organisational structure is a hierarchical one,
in which the chain of command runs from the top (e.g., the CEO or
manager) to the bottom (e.g., entry-level, and low-level employees), with
each employee reporting to a supervisor.
Boots uses a hierarchical structure the positions and obligations would be
divided into different parts to make sure that any job that needed to be done
would be done efficiently to help the business run smoothly. Employees within
the store would normally ask that customers how Tesco as a business can help
with making sure that shopping is made to feel better some of the customers.
Some of the customers on the survey would say how they would need to clear
that I was to make it much easier for customers to walkthrough which would
then make it easier for them to find their item as boots often restock their
shelves instore.
This will help satisfy the needs of customers as this will make it easier for them
to find a product which is exactly what they want while shopping. Another way
how they satisfy customer needs is by labelling each aisle with the type of
product that be there once a customer books free examples could be skin care,
aftershave, baby essentials ETC. Even though the aisle are labelled employees
are still there to help customers find the perks that they need by simply giving
them instructions on where the items will be with much further assistance,
making every day easier for customers to shop.
Another way in which boots satisfies customer needs is by reporting incidents
to the manager incidents could be things such as a spillage within the store
within aisle which will be then followed up by the manager, he will then pass
this information onto the cleaners that will be able to arrive and deal with the
problem. Employees are also responsible for informing the manager for things
such as refunds as they will need permission and authorization from the
manager to be able to proceed before doing anything else. This makes the
business run smoothly as the employee can simply submit the report and get
back to their station watch the manager takes care of the problem.
