This is important to immediately let someone know what the job role will be when they are
looking for jobs.
Job advert
The job advert explains several things important to the job. Location, company, what type of
person they are looking for, the responsibilities, how much you earn, hours (part-time) and
status of job. It also lets you know how to apply for the job. This is essential because it means
people who are interested in applying can quickly see the key information about the job, this is
especially important with things like location because someone would have to be able to get to
this location, this helps not have people who live far applying for jobs thinking it for their local
chain of a certain shop.
Job description
A job description lets people know what is involved in the job and what kind of responsibilities
you would have (for example, offering advice to customers). This is important because it lets
people know what they will have to do if they get this job, meaning only people who think they
would want to do this and be able to do this should apply, helping to narrow down applicants.
