Define the skills and attributes of a team leader using real-life examples and
management and leaderships theories.
Leadership
-Leadership within a business is the capacity of a company's management is to set
achieve challenging goals, reaction fast and make quick decisive decisions when
needed, being able to outperform the competition as well as being able to inspire
employees to perform to the highest level that they can.
Management
-Management refers to the directing and controlling of a group of people or an
organization to reach a specific goal. Management can also refer to the
deployment and manipulation of human recourses, financial resources,
technological resources and natural resources.
-In my own words the difference between leadership and management is that
leaders must be able to get people to comprehend and believe in the vision that a
business sets for their company and to work with you the business in meeting
their goals, whilst management is more about administering and ensuring that
the day-to-day operations that occur within a business about completed to a high
standard.
-Both managers and leaders can be effective to helping a business to achieve its
objectives because they understand how important it is to the business's
objectives are which is why they would brief and make sure the employees are
aware of the businesses objectives which then allows the leaders/management to
use their experience and skills to drive the employees to meeting their targets.
Examples in which I can include would be:
Motivation
A leader proves to be playing an incentive role in the concerns working. He
motivates the employees with economic and non-economic rewards and thereby
has the tasks from his employees completed.
Providing Guidance

, Unit 19 developing teams in

A leader has to not only supervise but they must also play the guiding role for the
employees as guidance is a useful tool when instructing employees on the way
they perform their work effectively and efficiently.
Building a working environment
Management is getting things done for people. An efficient work environment
helps in a sound and stable growth. Therefore, human relations should be kept
into mind by a leader. Management should have personal contacts with
employees and should listen to their problems and help to them by coming up
with a resolution to solve them.
Co-ordination
Co-ordination can be achieved through management reconciling personal
interests with organizational goals. This synchronization can be achieved through
proper and effective co-ordination which should be a primary motive of
management.
Creating confidence
Creating confidence is an important factor for both management/leaders as it can
be achieved through expressing work efforts to the employees by explaining to
their roles and giving them guidelines to helping them achieve targets effectively.
It is also important to hear the employees concerns when it comes to them
voicing their complaints and problems.
Building morale
Morale denotes the willing co-operation of the employees towards their work and
getting them into confidence and winning their trust. Management/leaders can
boost the morale of the employers so they can perform to the best of their
abilities and achieve their goals.
Three leaders in from today's society in which I really admire, with the first leader
being Virgil Abloh who is the founder and CEO of a large luxury clothing brand
called Off-White.
