Introduction
This assignment will be focusing on the analyzing and evaluation of the selection interview
which took place. Furthermore, recommendations will be provided on how this experience
could be improved.

Definitions

Interview: this is a meeting between two or more persons, where questions are asked and
answered to come to the conclusion if someone is suitable for a job vacancy.

Interviewee: the person being interviewed.

Interviewer: the person who is conducting the interview.

Before the Interview

During the planning stage of the interview, we were given a week to prepare in which
would prepare an interview pack which would contain a job advert, job description, person
specification and application form for a selected job that we would be interviewed for.
During that period of time we were also expected to prepare questions in which we would ask
the interviewee and also prepare ourselves for questions in which we would be asked as well.
We would also have to prepare clothing in which we would wear to an interview.

Analysis and Evaluation
This interview was focusing on questions that are likely to be asked in an interview.
My contribution to the interview was the role of an interviewer and interviewee. Five
questions were selected in which I would ask the interviewee in which the roles were
switched and I answered five questions asked by the interviewer. I greeted the interviewee in
which I said Good Morning and said who I was and what my role was in the interview. The
questions in which I asked were; 1. How did you hear about this position, 2. Why do you
want to work here, 3. Where do see yourself in 5 years, 4. What are your educational
achievements, and 5. How well do you work under pressure? These questions were asked
because I wanted to understand the candidate more in terms of their potentiality, ability and
academics. I asked these questions to ensure that the interviewee was provided with a
comfortable climate where they feel relaxed and focused whilst getting to know them. In an
