P7 Using examples, outline electronic and non-electronic methods of
communication for different
types of audiences.
electronic methods of communication
Electronic communication is a method of communication that entails using
computer divides to send information to a recipient. This is the most
common method of sending information in business because it is faster to
receive and respond to information unlike non electrical methods of
sending information. The main electronic methods of sending information
in Bullworth school are the following:

Emails

Emails (electric mail) is a program that allows users to send messages
through a server. Businesses use email because it does not require any
planning or discussion prior, which makes sending emails faster than face-
to-face interaction or phone calls for example. The downside of using
emails is that the email is usually not personal, therefore the
interpretation of the message is based on the reader. This can lead to
conflict because the reader can find the message rude even though the
senders’ intentions was to make the message straightforward. In
Bullworth, both students and teachers communicate through email. The
school has set up a private email domain that allows all people in
Bullworth to send emails to each other. Teachers use email to receive
notifications and letters from fellow staff members that are related to their
department. These letters can range from meeting invitations to student
homework submissions. Senior school student also has school email
addresses. These school email addresses are used by students to send
google classroom how to their teachers.

Communicating through email is one of the most effective because it can
be used by any audience. This is because emails can send videos, pictures
and text messages. This multimedia communication can be customised to
fit any audience. For example, a teacher can send an instruction video to
their young students because young people tend to internalise
information through visuals.

Text messages

Text messages or SMS is a program that allows users to send messages
through their cell phone service provider. The most common cell service
provider that users use is Safaricom. The advantage of using SMS is that
majority of parents and guardians in Bullworth have cell phones. Services
like emails need an internet connection which some parents don’t have or
use. With text messages, urgent messages or abrupt messages can be
sent to the parent’s phone numbers because they are likely to use their
phone on a regular basis than emails. This is because most of Bullworth
parents are not used to using recent technology like emails and internet
due to their age. Young people are more likely to use emails than older
people. Bullworth usually uses SMS to text parents on urgent events. For
