Organisational Needs
IT Service Requirements Explanation of priority (high, medium or low)
Windows 10 OS High – Windows 10 as the chosen operating system is high because
users would find it difficult to interact with their computer if there’s
no GUI to look at. Without an operating system, staff would have to
type commands into the computer in order to get their work done,
which would be very inefficient.
Computers High – Computers are of a high priority because most people
already know how to use one. This will remove the need to train staff
on how to use the equipment. A minimum of 8GB of RAM is required
for each computer so they can run multiple programs without it
slowing down. If the business were unable to get computers, they
would have to use a paper based method which, in this day and age,
would be very slow and exhausting for staff. This is due to the fact
they business would have to send letters to their customers and it
would take days in order to get a response.
Servers High – Servers would be very important to the organisation because
they need somewhere to host the e-learning materials for customers
to access. If they didn’t have servers, they wouldn’t be able share
learning resources with people in order to train them.
Booking System High – A booking system will be needed by the organisation because
they need to be able to log course and customer details. They need
to do this in order for them to keep in contact with the customers
and send them relevant information regarding courses. Without a
booking system, the organisation wouldn’t be able to function
because they would have to ask for details off people every time
they want to join a course.
