Unit -25 Security procedures in the uniformed Services.

The uniformed services have the responsibilities to society that go beyond effectively and
efficiently providing the public services that are natural responsibility (education, health, public
services, defence, citizen protection, as they must protect society through effective regulations
and legislation, as the representative of society.

However, in this assignment will be presented why and how important are the security
procedures for the uniformed services sectors and people to maintain security.

Security can be described as a protection for the society, providing to the individuals and home
to protect and guarantee the security in different ways, e.g. houses, community, works etc.

The uniformed services has to maintain security in the society, their role it’s to petrol the
community and deal with incidents, however the main point it’s to make sure the community
it’s in good procedures and there it’s not any major incident that can affect the population,
that’s why it’s very important for the uniformed services to make sure and maintain security in
the society.

There exist different main threats to the security of people which are property and premises.

 Security of people – this term can be defined it as a how the uniformed services
including the government will protect or help the people, in different ways for e.g.
Financial and economical antiterrorism attacks, and cyber intelligence, those can be the
negative effects on the people.

 Security of property – During the statistics the properties of people will be always
damaged or robbed , because of the crimes , in this case the Police Force have to
investigate and provide their service to the community or the people affected .

 Security of premises – this security allows you to keep your property, office, work, cars,
outside and inside since it can be attached to the premises, for example cameras,
windows locks , alarms and many dispositive protectors.

However, in every securityincident there are negative and positive effects and consequences,
but in what way is each failure important?

Answering this question, we can say that it is about defining how and how much each failure
matters with the purpose of choosing the type of task or maintenance strategy that will be
recommended to eliminate or minimize the failure mode.

, The consequences of failure procedures of security are usually very daily and too risky, in
different methods, in this case we are talking about maintaining the security of people, their
properties and premises.

As we already know to protect ourselves from home burglaries , there are different resources
that can prevent stealing or providing a crime , having more security around you , you are more
protected , because they will not be able to assault your property , especially having the
required equipment as cameras , alarms , windows blocked , doors very well protected , so for
any incident that will happened there will be completely difficult to enter.

The negative effect of not having the necessary systematic security equipment it can be
completely challenging for the people, properties and different organizations.

On the other side the uniformed services will not be able to help because they wouldn’t know
how to manifest the situation , they will probably find some clues but not that much because
will be impossible for them to know what happened .

Perhaps the security system can help you to say one step ahead of the warning signs , including
as a person , property , maintenance , social , environmental including the external and internal
threats of the natural disasters , civil or criminal suits , theft , corruption of data etc .

For example, the security workers.

Security officers have the goal of enforcing the rules in the places where they provide their
services, they also have the obligations to submit to the laws and regulations of the security
company they work for.

Just as they are responsible in the pertinent use electronic devices such as cameras, metal
detectors, vests, flashlight and many different devices.

In addition, they must properly wear work clothing and the corresponding identification
badges.

Security Guards Responsibilities and Duties;

 Exercise vigilance and protection.
 Carry out identity checks at access to or inside certain buildings,in no case can they
retain personal documentation.

protection.
