Property - Wembley stadium is a large arena which requires a lot of security before entering
and on site. Threats to people property are more likely to happen when arguments between
supporters happen and they are not contained. I am going to be explaining the main threats to
the security of the property.
Burglary - Burglary is the illegal entry of a building with intent to commit a crime, especially
theft. Burglary is unlikely to happen at Wembley stadium as there are regular security checks
and patrols and it is not possible for civilians to enter without a ticket and security checks.
These checks will help prevent anything from being taken or stolen from the stadium or
someone who is there.
Theft - Theft is the action of crime of stealing. Theft from Wembley stadium is highly unlikely to
happen as there is nothing to steal apart from food bar items and even these are locked away
behind shutters when they are not being used.
Arson - Arson is the criminal act of deliberately setting fire to property. This is very likely and
could happen to Wembley stadium as people who strongly dislike football or people who are
causing violence and addicted to it could do this in anger or to get revenge. Although Wembley
is highly secured, there is are not enough people who patrol the building all the time so they
may struggle to prevent this situation. Wembley does have CCTV which means they could catch
someone in the act or use this as evidence to find out who set fire to the building. Although
arson is a likely possibility, it does not often occur. There have only been a few reported cases
of arson at a football match, none of these being at Wembley stadium.
Commercial Sabotage and Product Tampering - Sabotage is a deliberate action aimed at
weakening a policy or corporation through subversion, obstruction, disruption or destruction.
Product tampering is the deliberate contamination of goods after they have been
manufactured. It is often done to alarm consumers or to blackmail a company. This could
happen here as Wembley is a high value company although it is unlikely.
