Practical - measuring heat energy of fuels
Procedure:
● Clean burette with hot, soapy water
● Rinse
● Check bottom part of burette is clean from vaseline/grease
● Use a small quantity of the acid to rinse inside
● Ensure tap is closed
● Use funnel
● Rinse out
● Open tap
● Close tap, fill with hcl (dilute)
● Allow bottom to fill bellow tap
PH meter:
● Set up apparatus
● Get the probe and clean with distilled water
● Put probe in ph7 solution and press the calibrate button so that it remembers
● Clean with distilled water
● Blot on paper
● Put probe in ph4 solution and press the calibrate button so that it remembers
