Chapter 1:Jak’s (Jak se) heart
The reader is introduced (voorgestel) to Jak, the main character

people like Jak. Not that he is the most popular (gewildste) boy in school, but
at least (darem) he is liked (van gehou).
Then an introduction (voorstel) of Jak follows (volg):
Jak is a regular (doodgewone) guy.
He is 15 (vyftien) years old, has dark (donker) hair and blue eyes.
He likes (hou van) music and cartoons (strokiesprente).
He can play (speel) guitar (kitaar) and is a little (ietwat) scatterbrained
(verstrooid).
He hates it when people ask him what he wants to (wil) be (word) one
day.
He is too shy (skaam) to (om te) say that he wants to (wil) be (wees) a

Next to follow (volg), is an introduction (voorstel) of Jak’s heart. Jak’s heart

Chapter 2: Vincent and Wayne

Vincent and Wayne call Jak back to reality (realiteit). They apparently

Chapter 3: Upside down (onderstebo)

“Klets” means to chat, so it’s a good name for the coffee shop since

Koffieklets is Julia’s mom’s shop (winkel). Julia and Jak are best friends and
