Lecture notes on the module Research Methods in Psychology taught at Canterbury Christ Church University. This module is taught in the 3rd year to students studying Psychology.
Can we combine two sources of data? It depends on the methods you are going to
use. For example, in grounded theory studies, that’s something you can do quite
easily. But for IPA, it will be much more difficult.
Assessment – there are two assignments
(1) Project proposal – this will be graded.
(2) SCA – this is a set of exercises that will relate to each of the sessions of the
stream that you are on (qualitative).
SCA
The SCA exercises will on blackboard. It’s up to you when you actually do
them. Bear in mind there are 8 sessions to be covered so don’t leave it too
late!
You paste everything into one document for submission.
It is worth 75%
You won’t get feedback until you submit the whole SCA.
