, 1.0 Introduction
Higher Education will lead people to achieve what they want. Academic environment
help students learning new knowledge alongside using and developing new skills that are
essential for life success. (Drew,2016) This report aims to analyse and evaluate key skills
developed during present academic learning and have a clear image of skills that needed
improvement. To accomplish this, I used tools as the Skill audit table, Gibb’s reflective
cycle and PDP plan.

2.0 Audit and Evaluation of Key skills
According to Neil ( 2015) skills are learned behaviours, the point is that all people have
the potential to learn new skills and developing qualities. Skill development involves
knowledge and values issues, people need to give up on old habits and adopt a positive
attitude for learning and developing new skills.

A skills audit is a regular evaluation of a student's research skills and knowledge. An
audit must offer evidence of existing or increasing competence. It is related to needs
analysis: detecting needs for training or personal development. These correlate with what
the students have, and what they needs. ( Graduate School Network, 2021). University
offers a proper environment for developing skills and challenge students to develop
experiences that set them apart from others. (Troughts,2017) During classes, I cultivated
new information, and I developed my personal and professional skills. These skills have
changed my perspective on life. I became more confident in my strengths and I start to
embrace the future more positively. I build new skills as time management, team
working, goal setting, reflective writing and improved old skills as communication
skills, IT skills, critical thinking, problem-solving and listening. In the table below (Table
no. 1) I identify the skills established during classes in conformity with my weekly
learning log (Appendix 1).
