How is data for analysis recorded in the
laboratory?
Paper sheet:
In a laboratory setting, A lab technician may use a lab
datasheet or a paper sheet, such as a Material Safety
Data Sheet (MSDS) from the chemical manufacturer. This
is necessary for the laboratory because it provides
information about the properties, hazards, and potential
risks of specific chemicals that lab technicians intend to
use to protect themselves from any harm, essentially
raising technician awareness of the substance they
intend to use. In colleges, students mostly recorded their
results conducted in the experiment using the paper
sheet the downside of using paper sheets is that they
might get lost.
Paper sheets are not only for the quick results or
laboratories’ health and safety, such as potential risks
and hazards. It is also used for cleaning records, such as
cleaning the chemical used. Some substances needed a
fridge at a constant temperature. So, the use of paper
sheets makes it easier to record or check the cleaning
has been done, including the fridge temperature checks
to see whether the substances are kept at a proper
temperature.
Laboratory Books:
Mainly laboratory uses electronic format now, but the
laboratory still has written records such as a legible
record of what was done with the experiment, why, and
by whom, so I there’s an issue with the investigation,
