Initial Project Idea
In this project we are going to test and investigate different types of antibacterial properties
to see their effectiveness on killing bacteria such as test a hand gel and a hand soap at
different concentrations, or plant spices such as garlic and ginger, or different alcohol-based
wipes and alcohol spray. I am interesting of doing an experiment to see which one has the
most effectiveness with ginger and hand gels.
Also, in this booklet we will cover a literature search, review, and analyse to produce an
investigative project proposal for an antibacterial killer, produce an appropriate project
proposal for our investigative project which include a hypothesis and potential limitations,
and evaluate different ways of investigations.
The importance of your project
We chose this project because we want to investigate several types and concentration of
anti-bacterial killers and / or other compounds that may be antibacterial killers. We will look
at their effectiveness (such as hand gel and ginger) and which one is better and has the best
clear zone results of killing bacteria. Which eventually when we test the reliability of the
product it could be used in hospitals or in health care settings to reduce the number of
bacteria spread
We have chosen to test the difference of effectiveness on ginger and hand sanitizer, and
which one gives the best results of killing bacteria so that can be used in healthcare sectors
to reduce the spread of several types of bacteria. This is important because it will reduce the
risk of bacterial infections which it can be found mostly in hospitals and to prevent the
bacterial infection rates, especially when it comes to surgeries or examinations
