(M1) Compare the purpose of the different documents used in the
selection and recruitment process of a given organisation.
Introduction
In this essay I am going to analyse the purpose of the following
documentation: Job advert, Job description, Personal specification,
Application form. In addition I shall also talking about the information all of
the documents consist of as well as explain its usage. More specifically I
shall be looking at how each individual document contributes towards the
selection and recruitment process for the organisation Emirates airlines.

Job advert
The first document I shall be analysing is the job advert. The purpose of a
Job advert is to advertise and inform people about a job or vacancy
opening. The kind of information you will find on a job advert includes the
title or name of the role, a short description which will appeal to applicant
about the importance and value the job, and lastly contact information in
which the applicant can use if they require answers for any further
question or enquires about the job. The organisation Emirates have made
substantial use of the job advert. By using this document as a tool for
advertisement they are communicating the opening of a vacancy within
their organisation in an appealing manner to potential applicants.
Emirates have chosen to use job adverts as a successful way to get their
vacancies noticed by potential employees. Depending on the quality of
the job advert this will play a key factor on how many applicants might
consider the role.

Job description
The second document I shall be assessing is the Job description. The
reason for a job description is very important as this document will list out
the roles and activities in which an applicant will be responsible for if they
choose to apply for the job. The information found on a job description is
vital for applicants who are looking to apply. The information you might
find on a job description is as follows, job title, a detailed description
about the job and the various duties that will have to be performed when
under taking the role. Emirates have made effective use of the job
description. By utilising the document as a method of answering the
majority of applicants’ questions and queries by informing than about the
role through a detailed depiction. Emirates have used the job description
to also inform the applicant with a little bit of background information
about what is required if they were to work for them. This gives the
applicant a very clear insight about the job they are considering to apply
for as well as answering a lot of questions about the job role and duties.
