Treaty of Versailles (To what extent was the treaty fair):

• The treaty of Versailles was made at the end of WW1.
• France’s main goal was to protect France from another attack from Germany.
• Germany lost a lot of territory and power due to the treaty.
• England believed the treaty was fair.
• The American people didn’t want any involvement with the Europeans and never
even joined the League of nations.
• The treaty was unfair because Germany lost a lot of its territory and power. They’re
economy and people suffered, and Germany was in debt for a long time. Germany
also wasn’t fully responsible for the war but still was harshly punished. The treaty
also led to WW2.
• The French felt threatened and wanted the treaty to be harsh.

Treaty of Neuilly-sur-seine:

• Bulgaria was the most affected country.
• The countries America, Japan; Italy, British empire, France, and Bulgaria.
• Bulgaria lost a lot of territory (18,865 km square).
• The treaty was violated by Bulgaria and Bulgaria’s and Germany formed an alliance
again in WW2.
• The Bulgarian army was reduced to 20,000 soldiers.
• Bulgaria had to pay 100 million dollars for reparations.



Treaty of Serves:

• The treaty caused the Ottoman empire to break up its territories.
• The Ottoman empire had to give up their land to Britain and France because Britain
and France wanted them to have as little territory as possible to prevent another
outbreak of war.
• The Ottomans were banned from having an air force.
• The army of the Ottoman empire was limited to 50,000 troops.
• After the government refused to accept the treaty of Serves, the Republic of Turkey
was formed.
